Woody Harrelson Is Ready to Be Your Favorite Star Wars Character
Seeing as the movie isn't due out until May of next year, details are slim about the upcoming young Han Solo movie, the second stand-alone anthology movie in the Star Wars franchise. We know it'll star Alden Ehrenreich as young Han, Donald Glover as young Lando, and Woody Harrelson as someone of normal age. But pressed by Jimmy Fallon last night, Harrelson revealed some promising details about his Star Wars character. He'll be playing "a guy named Beckett, who is kind of a criminal, and I am a mentor to Han."
Ah, so that's where Han gets the whole smuggler with a heart of gold thing—from Woody Harrelson. The best thing about this interview, though, is how chill Woody (who doesn't smoke weed anymore!) is about being in Star Wars. "You know, I like it. I was never a fanatic, but it's nice to be a part of it," he said with a smirk.
